Every couple of posts I will be sharing some of our family adventures to some of our local parks and family attractions. Our kids wake up in the morning ready to go on adventures so we are rarely found indoors. One of our favorite places to go is our local zoo which happens to be Zoo Atlanta. If you are planning a trip to Atlanta anytime soon I would encourage you to make time in your schedule to make a stop here. The zoo itself is HUGE! We always try to go during the week because this Mama is not trying to fight the masses with my two wild ones in tow. Here are some things I love about our zoo:
- You can bring in your own food…..my budget appreciates this so much!
- There are two playgrounds, one is right next to the naked mole rat exhibit and the other is in the kid zone
- Along with all the animals you could ever want to see the zoo also has a train, carousel, seasonal splash pad, treetop trail, rock wall, petting zoo, and a safari slide.(some of these activities do cost a little extra)
- Everyone that works there is always so kind, and very quick to engage the kids in conversations about whatever exhibit they are working at
If you live in Georgia it is worth the time to checkout the Zoo Atlanta library pass program. Every library has a copy of the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass, which is a DVD. It has to be checked out at the front desk of the library. Once returned you will receive a receipt which can then be used for up to four general admission tickets Monday thru Friday. You are allowed to check it out one time per year. It can be hard to track down one of these DVDs to checkout because they are a hot commodity so I always try to stalk them through the libraries online portal. For more information on it click here.

My Mama love tank was full after spending the day watching my little loves explore, play, and learn. Checkout our video from our day at the Zoo Atlanta!
Do you have a favorite zoo that you take your little ones to? I would love to hear all about it!
