Above All Else Be Kind

Being a parent is hard. It’s beautiful, but it’s hard. Being a parent when the whole world is changing, whether we like it or not, is hard. We are being forced to make decisions that none of us could’ve ever imagined when we yelled 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝗪 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 six months ago.⁣

Our children are watching us probably now more than ever. They are watching how we react, they are watching how we express our feelings, and they are watching how we treat people. ⁣

I may make different decisions than you for my family during this time but I still respect you, I will never not show you kindness, I will not fill your inbox with judgements, unkind words, or pressure you to think just like me. I may make different decisions than you but the only thing I will ever call you is a 𝗪𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 because being a parent on a normal day can be challenging but parenting as you watch your whole world shift is 𝗪𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 stuff.⁣

Please remember that what you see on social media is exactly 1% of someone’s day. There’s a lot you don’t see and don’t know about. Be kind.⁣
