Halloween Isn’t Canceled: A Guide to Halloween Family Fun Around Atlanta

As Halloween approaches we have been waiting to hear if our community will be doing traditional trick-or-treating or if we would need to get creative. One thing I had thought about doing was a candy search in the backyard kind of like an Easter egg hunt but Halloween themed! I also wanted to find a couple of alternative options that could be fun for all of us while also still adhering to social distancing. While the list is much shorter than years prior there are still some really great options to have some Halloween fun as a family!

1. Rooftop Halloween at Ponce City Market – 10/31 11am to 3pm, $15 for adults and $7 for kids. For more information click here

2. Halloween Hikes at Chattahoochee Nature Center – 10/23, 10/24, and 10/30. $12 per person and must purchase tickets in advance. For more information click here

3. Fall-O-Ween Fest at Swift-Cantrell Park – 10/17 4-9pm, free activities, must pre-register for movie showing and music. For more information click here

4. Halloween Spooktacular Drive-Thru at Brook Run Park – 10/29 6-9pm, free event. For more information click here

5. Halloween At Halcyon – 10/24 11am – 4pm, $10 per child and you must pre-register. For more information please click here

6. Train or Treat at Southeastern Railway Museum – 10/24 11am-3pm, event included in regular museum admission, masks required for 5 and up. For more information click here

7. Boo at the Zoo(Zoo Atlanta) – 10/17, 10/18, 10/24, 10/25, 10/31 9am-5pm, event is free with zoo admission, timed ticket reservation is required, there are a few new safety measures in place so click here for all information

8. Woodland Spirits Outdoor Halloween Experience at Fernbank – runs through 11/8 10am-5pm, included in museum admission, tickets must be pre-purchased. For more information click here

9. Legoland Discovery Center Brick-Or-Treat – runs through 10/31, event is included in regular admission, open Thursday through Monday from 11am-5pm, tickets can be booked online. For more information click here
